Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Filling of your choice (e.g. BBQ pork, chicken, vegetables)
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and sugar. Mix well.

Add the warm milk and vegetable oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and knead in the baking powder and salt.

Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into circles with a diameter of about 3 inches.

Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and pleat the edges to seal.

Place the buns on a piece of parchment paper and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Set up a steamer and steam the buns for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and cooked through.
