How To Make Malaysian Prawn Noodles Recipe
A flavorful noodle dish with succulent prawns, in a spicy broth with a touch of sweetness.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 500g fresh or dried egg noodles
- 500g of prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp of chili paste
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 2 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, halved
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions

Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse in cold water.

In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.

Add garlic and onions, sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Add chili paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper.

Stir until combined, then add broth.

Let the broth come to a simmer and add the prawns.

Cook until prawns turn pink, around 2-3 minutes.

Divide the noodles into bowls, pour the broth over them and top with prawns, eggs and cilantro.
