Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour.
- Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs until pale and frothy.
- Sift in flour and salt, and mix until just combined.
- Fold in melted chocolate and vanilla extract.
- Divide the batter into the four prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the outer edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- Let cool for a minute and then gently unmold the cakes onto a plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
