How To Make Chocolate Candy Muffins
Delicious muffins with melted chocolate candies on top.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup chocolate candies, chopped
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper muffin cups.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about ⅔ full.

Sprinkle chopped chocolate candies on top of each muffin.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
