How To Make Chocolate Candy Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup candy sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a muffin tin with 4 liners.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg.

  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Fill each muffin liner about 3/4 full with batter.

  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

  7. In a medium bowl, beat powdered sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.

  8. Spread frosting onto cooled cupcakes and sprinkle candy sprinkles on top.
