How To Make Spicy Chicken & Chickpea Curry

Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Saute until golden brown.

Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for a minute.

Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn brown.

Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.

Add the canned chickpeas and sliced green chilies. Mix well.

Cover the pan and let the curry simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
