How To Make Home-style Chicken Curry

Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
- For Rice:
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions

In a large pan, heat oil and add chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn brown.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.

Add garam masala powder and simmer for another 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

In a separate pot, rinse basmati rice and soak in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water.

In a pan, bring water to a boil and add the soaked rice. Cook until the rice is 80% cooked. Drain the water.

Serve the home-style chicken curry with fragrant rice and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
