How To Make Easy Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent.

  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Cook for another minute.

  3. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.

  4. Sprinkle in the garam masala, turmeric powder, and chili powder. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.

  5. Pour in the tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
