How To Make Chicken, Morel Mushroom & Asparagus One-Pan Pie

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 cup morel mushrooms, sliced
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the morel mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the shredded chicken and asparagus to the skillet, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat everything evenly.

Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the puff pastry.

Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg.

Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
