How To Make Spinach-Stuffed Chicken Breasts

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups of fresh spinach
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a slit horizontally through the side of each chicken breast to create a pocket.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.

  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the spinach mixture, dividing it evenly between the four breasts.

  5. Secure the openings with toothpicks or twine to prevent the stuffing from falling out.

  6. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  7. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

  9. Remove the toothpicks or twine before serving.

  10. Serve the spinach-stuffed chicken breasts with a side of roasted vegetables or a refreshing salad.
