- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a slit horizontally through the side of each chicken breast to create a pocket.
-
In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
-
Stuff each chicken breast with the spinach mixture, dividing it evenly between the four breasts.
-
Secure the openings with toothpicks or twine to prevent the stuffing from falling out.
-
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
-
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
-
Remove the toothpicks or twine before serving.
-
Serve the spinach-stuffed chicken breasts with a side of roasted vegetables or a refreshing salad.
