How To Make Cast Iron Skillet Herb Roasted Chicken Recipe
Juicy and flavorful roasted chicken cooked in a cast iron skillet with a herb-infused butter.

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 lbs)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh sage
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a bowl, combine butter, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Dry the chicken with paper towels and then rub the herb butter all over, including under the skin.

Place the chicken in a large cast iron skillet (10-12 inches) and roast for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
