Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until softened.

Add the red wine to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes or until the wine has reduced by half.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, tomato paste, and flour. Pour into the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cover and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
