How To Make Chicken and Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender.

  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes.

  6. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.

  8. Serve the chicken and mushroom mixture over rice or pasta.

  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
