How To Make Spiced Maple Pancakes
These maple pancakes are generously spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. The fluffy pancakes take on a warm flavor that’s perfect with tea.

- 1cupall purpose flour
- 1½tspbaking powder
- ½tspsalt
- 1cupmilk
- 1egg
- 2tbspvegetable oil
- 1tbspmaple syrup
- 2tspground cinnamon
- 1tspnutmeg
- 1tspground cloves
- 2tspvegetable oil,or as needed

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.

Whisk milk, egg, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together in a separate bowl. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until just blended.

Heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil on a griddle over medium heat; pour about ¼ cup batter onto the hot griddle.

Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until bubbles begin to form on top of pancakes. Flip and cook for about 3 to 5 more minutes until the second side is golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
