How To Make Lemon Poppy Seed Breakfast Bread
A refreshing and lightly sweet bread, perfect for morning meals.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another mixing bowl, cream together sugar, lemon zest, and butter until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs, lemon juice, and poppy seeds.

Slowly mix in the dry ingredients and milk, alternating between the two until everything is incorporated.

Pour batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and smooth out the top.

Bake for 50 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
