Breakfast bowls are really convenient because all you have to do is literally toss together the ingredients in a bowl, and you’ve got yourself a hearty breakfast. You might have already seen the trendy bowls of quinoa seeds with fruits and nuts around social media. But did you know that you can have savory renditions of this morning meal, too? Ingredients
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of plain yogurt
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1/4 cup of almonds, chopped
- 2 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
- Optional toppings: additional sliced banana, more blueberries, and a sprinkle of cinnamon
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the rolled oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and have absorbed most of the water.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the yogurt until well combined.

Divide the creamy yogurt porridge among 4 bowls.

Top each bowl with sliced bananas, blueberries, chopped almonds, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
