- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the buttermilk and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the raisins and chopped almonds.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
