Ingredients
- 2 lemons
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

Zest both lemons and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the lemon zest.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, until well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the loaf is baking, juice one of the lemons and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.

Once the loaf is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Carefully remove the loaf from the pan and place it on a wire rack.

Drizzle the lemon glaze over the warm loaf, allowing it to soak in.

Let the loaf cool completely before slicing and serving.
