Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
-
Add the cold butter cubes to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
-
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined and a soft dough forms.
-
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently for about 1 minute.
-
Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!
