Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup mixed herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, and oregano)
- 1/4 cup olive oil for drizzling
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
-
Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
-
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
-
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
-
Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Gently stretch and press the dough to fill the baking sheet evenly.
-
Drizzle the dough with olive oil and sprinkle the mixed herbs evenly over the top. Press the herbs lightly into the dough.
-
Sprinkle coarse sea salt over the dough.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
