Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 1 hr 15 mins
Total: 1 hr 25 mins
Serves:

Ingredients

  • cups  gluten- free flour
  • tsp instant yeast
  • tsp salt
  • cups water, warm, (105-115°F)
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir with a whisk.
  2. Slowly pour in the water. Stir with a wooden spoon until well blended and the dough forms into a ball.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it set on the counter for 8 to 18 hours or overnight.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. With well-floured hands, flatten the dough into a 9-inch circle, then fold it over onto itself and shape it into a ball.
  5. Line the bowl of the 6-quart crockpot with parchment paper. Place the dough inside and sprinkle the caraway seed.
  6. Place a double layer of paper towel under the lid to prevent condensation from dripping onto the rolls.
  7. Turn the crockpot on high and cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the bread is cooked. The fully cooked bread will have a light, soft crust. If you desire a golden crispy crust, place the bread under the broiler for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove the bread by lifting the parchment paper out of the crockpot and let it rest on a wire rack to cool before slicing. Enjoy!
