How To Make Bacon Cheddar Beer Bread
This beer bread may be denser than most but it’s also very moist and tender. The added bacon and cheddar impart savory, salty, and slightly sweet flavors.

- 1tbspcornmeal
- 3cupsflour
- 2tbspsugar
- 1tbspbaking powder
- 1tspsalt
- 12ozbeer,room temperature
- 1cupsharp cheddar cheese,shredded
- ⅓cupbacon,cooked and crumbled
- 2tbspbutter,melted
Instructions

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Butter a 9×5-inch loaf pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.

Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and beer in a large bowl.

Gently fold in shredded cheese and bacon crumbles with a spatula until just combined.

Place the batter in the pan and let sit for 20 minutes.

Bake for 35 minutes, then brush the butter on top of the bread and bake an additional 5 minutes.
