How To Make Green Bell Pepper and Lentil Soup Recipe
A healthy and hearty soup made with lentils and flavorful green bell peppers.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup dried lentils, rinsed and drained
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic, sauté for 5 minutes.

Add green bell peppers, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add lentils, vegetable broth, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils are tender.

Blend the soup with an immersion blender until smooth.

Serve hot with a slice of bread.
