How To Make Teriyaki Beef & Lettuce Cups

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
  • 1 head of lettuce, washed and separated into leaves
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.

  2. Place the thinly sliced beef in a shallow dish and pour the teriyaki marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until cooked through and slightly charred.

  4. Remove the cooked beef from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it into thin strips.

  5. Arrange the lettuce cups on a serving platter. Fill each cup with the sliced beef and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

  6. Serve the Teriyaki Beef & Lettuce Cups as an appetizer or a light lunch.
