How To Make Spicy Chicken & Bacon Pasties

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, bacon, red bell pepper, onion, garlic, jalapeno pepper, cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Roll out the refrigerated pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface. Using a round cutter or a small bowl, cut out circles from the pie crusts.

Place a spoonful of the chicken and bacon filling onto one half of each circle of pie crust. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.

Place the pasties onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pasties are golden brown and crispy.
