Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
-
Roll the macaroni mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons in size. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow them to firm up.
-
In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (180°C). Carefully drop the mac and cheese balls into the hot oil, frying in batches for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove the fried balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
-
Serve the fried mac and cheese balls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
