- 2 large onions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

Slice the onions into 1/2 inch thick rings and separate them.

In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

Dip each onion ring into the buttermilk, then coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Fry the onion rings in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
