Ingredients
- 16 chestnuts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Toothpicks
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Make a small slit in the shell of each chestnut with a knife.

Place the chestnuts in a pot of boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and drain the chestnuts.

Peel the shells and set the chestnuts aside.

In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, soy sauce, and black pepper.

Wrap each chestnut with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Place the bacon-wrapped chestnuts on a baking sheet.

Brush the chestnuts with the maple syrup mixture.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
